Spend (O man), and I shall spend on you!

Assalam-u-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 43]

And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down.

Spend (O man), and I shall spend on you

[Sahih Bukhari : Volume 6, Book 60, Book Name ‘Tafseer of the Prophet (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam)’ Number 206]
Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu): Allah’s Apostle (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said:
“Allah said, ‘Spend (O man), and I shall spend on you.”
He (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) also said:
“Allah’s Hand is full, and (its fullness) is not affected by the continuous spending night and day.”
He (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) also said:
“Do you see what He has spent since He created the Heavens and the Earth? Nevertheless, what is in His Hand is not decreased, and His Throne was over the water; and in His Hand there is the balance (of justice) whereby He raises and lowers (people).”

Our Lord! grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire. AMEEN!

On the Way to the Next Life

By Br. Hesham Rakha

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

The poor attitude of Muslims all over the world indicates that we lack two main ingredients to be successful, namely: a firm belief in Allah and a firm belief in accountability after death. The focus of my khutbah today will be on our journey after death prior to our resurrection on the Day of Judgment. Later khutbas, Insha Allah, will describe the scene on the day of judgment in great detail. The intent of this khutba is to remind myself and everyone here of the great responsibility we as human beings have been assigned. I must warn you that the scenes described in this khutba are very disturbing. The khutba is based on an article in “The Friday Report” Vol. V, No. 7.
Death is an inescapable end for every human being. Allah says in the Quran:

“Truly you will die, one day, and truly they too will die one day.”
(39:30)
What happens to a person after death is a matter of the unseen. However, the spectacle of death, and life afterdeath were described in the Quran and in the Sunnah, with such detail a person can have a precise idea about what will happen during the after death. This khutba gives a glimpse of the after death prior to the resurrection.

Celebrating The Praises Of Allah

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakatu beloved sisters,

Bismillah,

Allah the Almighty has said:

Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying, etc.) I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me. Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:152

And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful. Al-A’râf 7:205

Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh in Islâm) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islâmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allâh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allâh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allâh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord Allâh), the men and the women who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât, and alms, etc.), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadân, and the optional Nawâfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allâh much with their hearts and tongues (while sitting, standing, lying, etc. for more than 300 times extra over the remembrance of Allâh during the five compulsory congregational prayers) or praying extra additional Nawâfil prayers of night in the last part of night, etc.) Allâh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). AlAhzâb (The Confederates) 33:35

O you who believe! Remember Allâh with much remembrance. AlAhzâb (The Confederates) 33:41

SOIL your Soul??

Undoubtedly, the one who purifies (their soul) has succeeded /
And the one who soiled (their soul) has certainly failed.
- Surat AshShams 92/9-10

[Lessons from this Verse]
What’s the goal in life? Is it just to collect materialistic
toys? Or is it .. to purify our souls? Yes.

We know that that is the right answer, but truthfully, what are
you doing about it? What more can you do, today!

For the next seven days, ask yourself daily, “What more can I do
today to purify my soul even more?”

With best wishes to see you succeed at the highest level!
- Muhammad Alshareef

Why Forgive Others This Ramadan?

The Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: Musa, the son of Imran once asked, “Oh my Lord! Who is the most honorable of Your servants? And He replied, the person who forgives even when he is in a position of power” (Baihaqi). Peace and blessings be upon the Prophet.

You know you’re right.

You know what I’m referring to - those times when you get into an argument(s) with a family member, friend, boss, employee, coworker, classmate, teacher or whoever. You know your facts are right or that you’ve been wronged with an insulting remark, sarcastic comment or rudeness.

And so, you choose to hold a grudge. After all, you’ve got a right to. Nobody should be treated this way. Why should you forgive? You’re not the one who started this. You’re not the one who doesn’t have the facts straight.
