What is your “emotional temperature” today? Because our lives are so busy, noisy and stretched, we can feel stressed, lost and overwhelemd. Remain proactive and feel peace instead of falling to pieces. Remember this —
Someone can love you, but YOU must make yourself happy. Someone can teach you, but you must apply what you learn. Someone can coach you, but you must get up and in the game of life. Someone can give you an opportunity, but you must be capable and prepared. Someone can give you truth or lies, but you must learn discernment. Someone can tempt you, but you must learn discipline. Someone can offer you advice, but you must learn to trust your own inner knowing. Someone else can withhold, but you must learn to give.Someone can pity you, but you must bear your own sorrow. If you are the one always giving, you must learn how to receive. Someone can leave you, but you must learn to feel whole. Someone can set you up or put you down, but you must still do the right thing. Someone can knock you down, but you must get back up. Someone can ignore you, but you must see your own value and worth. Someone can help you, but you must learn to do for self. Someone can hold a grudge, but you must learn how to forgive and move on. Someone can show you a new way, but you must want the change. Someone can love you, but you must feel worthy of receiving love. Someone can encourage you, but you must motivate yourself.

…Some Days Are Hard
Let me share with you a strategy I use to avoid being flooded with feelings of gloom, depression and fear. Every day is a good day. But when I’m experiencing a day full of frustrations, I don’t call it a bad day, I call it an “interesting” day. This habit keeps me from being overwhelmed with negative emotions. Why does this work?
Repetitive thoughts and words create feelings. Those feelings create a positive or negative behavior pattern. If I tell myself it’s a bad day, I began to feel defeated and exhausted. If my day has one issue after another, If I tell myself it’s an “interesting” day this keeps my open to gratitude, hope, solutions, resilency, faith and sometimes even a sense of humor. I try to monitor my words when I’m feeling in a slump so I can avoid those “knot in your stomach - stressful - anxious - sickening - I’m losing it” feelings.

Action And Effect
All motive and action affects the cosmos in some way. The principle of cause and effect is the truth that allows us to change ourselves and the world around us for the better. However, this same universal law is also at work when change is not at the forefront of our minds. Our intentions flow forever outward in the form of energy, affecting both the people closest to us and billions of individuals we will likely never meet. For this reason, we should strive always to speak, think, and behave with great thoughtfulness and compassion. The virtues we choose to embody can inspire joy and integrity in the lives of countless people, whether we touch their existence directly or not.
The influence we wield is infinite. In an effort to internalize our conscious understanding of the nature of cause and effect, we can never truly know how our thoughts, emotions, words, or actions will manifest themselves on the larger universal stage because it is likely that the furthest-reaching effects will fall outside the range of our perception. We can only look to the guidance of our conscience, which will help us determine whether each of our choices is contributing to humanity’s illumination or setting the stage for unintended troubles. When we are in doubt, we need only remember that the cultivation of altruism inevitably leads to a harvest of goodwill and grace. Motivated by a sincere desire to spread goodness, we will be naturally drawn to those choices that will help us express our commitment to universal well-being.
Nothing you do, however minor or mundane, is ever exempt from the rules of cause and effect. From the moment of your birth, you have served as an agent of change, setting forces beyond your comprehension into motion across the surface of the earth and beyond. You can exert conscious control over this transformative energy simply by examining your intentions and endeavoring always to promote peace, positive energy, and passion in your ideas and actions. While you may never fully comprehend the extent of your purposefully heartfelt influence, you can rest assured that it will be universally felt.

Most people, when given an opportunity to aid someone in need, are eager to do whatever they can to be of service. Those of us who have chosen to make healing the world a vocation are grateful for any occasion to send light and love to people in our immediate spheres of influence and beyond. As we apply our passion and our principles to this altruistic endeavor, we often forget to send ourselves the same bountiful gifts of wellness, though we ourselves may be in dire need of it. We overlook ourselves, not because we forget, but because we fear that focusing on the self is an indicator of selfishness. It is moreover much more difficult to heal oneself than to heal others because the seeds of uncertainty are more easily banished when we act on another’s behalf. When we send healing light to ourselves, it is important that our intentions and our self-trust be stronger than ever to counteract doubt.
As we bless ourselves in this way, we serve as both an active channel and a passive destination. This should not change the way we interact with the valuable energy we wish to receive, however. Though we may be tempted to consciously direct or influence the manner in which light impacts our lives because we know ourselves most intimately, we should not try to control its path. When we draw the white light of protection and purity to our bodies, taking it into ourselves with each inhalation, our belief in the fact that it will naturally move toward areas of dysfunction will ensure that it flows through every muscle and organ. And when we fill our spaces with this light, our environments are cleared of all the negative energy that can sap our strength and our spirit. Surrounded inside and out with healing light, we feel safe and protected, healthy, relaxed, and content just as those who regularly receive such loving gifts from us do.
If you sincerely believe that there is a part of yourself that exists independently of upset and illness, the love and light you send yourself will help you connect with it. You will see the affirmative impact of this connection almost immediately when you include yourself in the recipients of your healing gifts, as life’s frustrations become more tolerable and your bliss becomes ever more palpable.

“Once you have achieved this oneness, when you talk, God talks; when you act, God acts.” –Chuck Ross, LAKOTA
In my innermost self, I know this to be true. I know of this oneness. The more I am free of doubt, jealousy, judgment, selfishness, anger, the closer I am to this oneness. When I am right with the Creator, nothing can touch me. When I am right with the Creator I always say the right things. When I am right with the Creator, my thoughts are always good. When I am right with the Creator, my actions are always good.
Great Spirit, remove from me those things that block me from You. Allow me this day to experience the oneness.
