1. Stop sitting on your assets, gifts and talents. Procrastination is a thief. Tap into your creativity, purpose, imagination, intuition, network and resources.
2. Stop worrying. Action and faith speak louder than fear. Thou shall let go and let God.
(Therefore do not worry and be anxious.- Matthew 6:31)
3. Avoid distractions, impatience and clutter. Keep the main thing…the MAIN THING. Follow your list of things to do to remain focused, organized and productive.
4. Find a balance between encouraging and helping others in need and knowing when to distance yourself from “energy vampires” who drain you with their drama and negativity.
5. Do the math and count your blessings. Praise God in the good and the difficult times. Read the rest of this entry »

This extends beyond work. We can and should incorporate these points into our daily lives.
1. Don’t expect to be appreciated. Your only expectation should be to get a paycheck. Don’t come to work to have personal relationships. Don’t allow what you do to affect who you are.
2. Do your job well, but remember your mission. God put you there to be a Light.
3. Seek opportunities to change the atmosphere without commenting on the problems. You have a God to talk to. You are on an assignment. Quietness and competence shall be your strength.
4. Don’t let your environment get inside of you. You should influence it, not let it influence you. Stop going to work to be fed. You didn’t come to receive, you came to give.
5. Increase your capacity to work with different personalities. God will often bless you through people you don’t even like! Read the rest of this entry »

Washington, DC (BlackNews.com) - On Thursday, January 15, 2009, George Washington University will kick-off a week-long celebration beginning with Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday and proceeding through the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. To commence the historical occasion, the university has invited activist/actor/speaker Carl Ray to speak and perform his acclaimed autobiographical one-man play “A Killing in Choctaw” — a true story about Ray witnessing his father’s 1962 racially-motivated murder in Choctaw County, Alabama. Ray will host a Q&A session following his performance. Admission is free and open to the public.
In 1962, 18-year-old Carl Ray witnessed his father’s gruesome murder at the hands of a white man who was angered because he believed Ray had disrespected him in conversation. Why does ANYONE who doesn’t live and fight in the Israeli/Arab wars take sides? Besides arguing and feeling righteous, what are you getting out of it? I couldn’t care less. Obviously, these idiotic, bloody disputes are benefitting them BOTH, financially.
I’m fed up with the Middle East. These Arabs and Israelis are shady. I don’t believe any of the crap they serve us in America year after year. Most of all, I’m sick of Israel. They take our money every year, and not measly peasly sums - large huge sums.
Are you telling me that after all that support, ass-kissing, and $$$$$ they cannot manage to be friendly and stay out of each other’s hair? I smell a rat. Both of these sides were getting US aid packages. Big ones. Obviously, Iran stepped in for the US after Hamas won the elections in 06.
Gee whiz, it sure is good for Iran. Helping the poor Palestinians. Good PR in politics, religion, bla bla bla. And it’s been good for the US; helping those Israelis. Except it hasn’t. It only helps them. These wars are obviously profitable for Israel and Palestine.
What would Israel be without a Palestine? Aren’t they DEFINED by those pesky angry arabs who throw rocks and sign their lives away to Saudi/Iranian funded pimps?
How much longer are we going to give money to a dumb country, dumb cause? Israeli has failed.
