Celebrating The Praises Of Allah

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakatu beloved sisters,

Bismillah,

Allah the Almighty has said:

Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying, etc.) I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me. Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:152

And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful. Al-A’râf 7:205

Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh in Islâm) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islâmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allâh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allâh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allâh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord Allâh), the men and the women who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât, and alms, etc.), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadân, and the optional Nawâfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allâh much with their hearts and tongues (while sitting, standing, lying, etc. for more than 300 times extra over the remembrance of Allâh during the five compulsory congregational prayers) or praying extra additional Nawâfil prayers of night in the last part of night, etc.) Allâh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). AlAhzâb (The Confederates) 33:35

O you who believe! Remember Allâh with much remembrance. AlAhzâb (The Confederates) 33:41

SEEK out Benefit….

On the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah, salAllahu alayhi wa salla, said: “Seek out that which benefits you, seek help only from Allah and never say you can’t do it.

“If any adversity comes to you, do not say: ‘If I had only acted in such-and-such a way, it would have been such-and-such;’ but instead, say: ‘Allah has decreed (it) and what He willed, He has done,’ for verily, (the word) (if)opens the way for the work of Satan.” - Saheeh Muslim

[Lessons from this hadith]
If there is something that will benefit you, make every effort and go after it! Seek it out.

There is no failure, only lessons.

Ramadan Dua courtesy sister Yusra:

Bi’ithnillahi ta’ala you’re all having a great start to Ramadan, InshaAllah here are the first two du’aas, one from the sunnah and one from the Qur’an.

The first duaa from the sunnah is known as “As-Sayyid Al-Istighfar” meaning, the best way to ask for forgiveness. The Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa sallam said, ” If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise. ” [Bukhari] What is this duaa?

O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.

The next duaa was the duaa of Ibrahim alayhi sallam when he brought Ismail alayhi sallam and Hajar to Makkah:

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلاَةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

“O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation. “Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established.”

(Surah Ibrahim, ayat 40-41)

Duaa of Ibrahim alayhi sallam: http://www.alhudapk.com/reading-material/duas/audio/qurani-duain/14.ra

I really love this duaa because it includes you, your children, your parents and the believers–for the day when we will most be in need of Allah’s Help and Forgiveness. And also Ibrahim alayhi salam makes duaa that he is among those who pray, we know that through salaah is success and I learned this week in my class that the word “Iqama” or “establish” doesn’t only mean to pray-as in do all the motions (ie, robot), but its the whole package: to have the proper wudu, pray in a clean place, the proper time and to be focused/ have khushoo in your salaah, that is Iqamah. SubhanAllah!

(I apologize if the audios are not working, their website goes down for time to time)

asalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, InshaAllah I will be sending two (or three) new duaas next week!! May Allah ta’ala make us among those who call upon Him sincerely, seeking His Face, and may He make us among those whom He Loves and frees us from the fire this Ramadan. ameen

The Messenger of Allah sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah then all his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
