Alternative Uses of the Tongue
Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
Today’s Afirmation:
I am swift to hear and slow to speak.
The Lord has set a guard over my mouth and He Keeps watch over the door of my lips.
No unwholesome talk comes out of my mouth, but only what is helpful of building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Pray.
Share your faith.
Express gratitude.
Tell the truth.
Admit a mistake.
Apologize.
Confess your faults and weaknesses.
Applaud someone’s achievement.
Ask for help.
Offer to assist.
Comfort someone who is hurting.
Communicate your expectations.
Give a sincere compliment.
Confront an interpersonal conflict.
Pledge your support.
Defend someone against negative criticism.
Discourage gossip.
Express appreciation.
Offer constructive feedback.
